Page 5: What is Broadcast Addresses
The Broadcast Address is a special address that can be used when sending information to ALL hosts on the network.
Instead of sending individual messages to each host, a single message can be sent to the Broadcast Address.
The Broadcast Address is based on the Network Address, with the host portions replaced by 255.
For example, if the Class B network is 172.125
The Broadcast Address is: 172.125.255.255
If the Class C network is 192.126.24
The Broadcast Address is: 192.126.24.255
This is the end of Broadcast Addresses tutorial.
