As we mentioned that Outbound links will loss PageRank or leak PageRank (PR). This example will show you how an Outbound link will leak PageRank and cause PageRank loss in a web site.

We will use the final PageRank result of Example 1 to do the illustration. The final PageRank result of Example 1 is shown as below:

Tips:
- Always ensure quality reciprocal link. Even reciprocal link can leak a lot of PageRank if not link properly.
- Remember to consider the PageRank of the link page of your link partner. I emphasis the link page of your link partner, NOT the home page of your link partner. Most people boost a PageRank 7 of the Home Page (index page). However the PageRank of the link page only has a PageRank value of one!
- Always consider the quantity of Outbound Links of the link page of your link partner. The more Outbound Links the link page of your link partner, the less PageRank value will be passed to your web pages. I always see link pages with over 100 Outbound Links.
